Local Authorities & Linked Open Data (LBLOD) – Building an Ecosystem
The ecosystem is based on linked open data standards. It aims to identify, connect and open decisions made by local authorities for re-use by all interested parties. We stimulate the vibrant community of administrations, companies and academia already involved, by combining an open source tool, linked data standards and a validation program.
We are eager to enlarge our ecosystem and amplify our impact. We present you a blueprint of a new way to produce, connect and link open data.
10 years Apps For Ghent Hackathon!
In March 2020, the data and information unit of the city of Ghent organizes their 10th edition of the annual Apps For Ghent hackathon. By organizing this, the City of Ghent has been putting open data in the spotlight for 10 years and every year this has already yielded many insights, ideas and fun applications. During this talk we will provide the highlights of 10 years Apps For Ghent, look at the elements that ensure that Apps For Ghent is a success and look at the future of this kind of events.
